Auto engage parking brake on 2022 CX30

So I picked up a low-mileage 2022 model from my brother who's upgrading to a BYD instead. I noticed the electric parking brake (EPB) releases when I drive off. Ok great. But I'd also like it to automatically engage when I shift into park... Does anyone here know how to enable that setting, or if it's even possible on this model?

Unfortunately, it doesn't have a direct setting to simply engage automatically every time you shift into park without turning the car off or meeting other Auto Hold conditions.
But of course, you can always engage it manually after shifting to park.

There's been a lot of talk about this feature and Mazda potential implementing it, but it's all just wishful thinking at this point. With that said, any specific reason why you'd want this feature?

That's not something you can toggle yourself, the EPB auto hold usually only disengages when you drive off. Some trims or regions have the auto apply in park feature baked in, but if yours doesn't show it in the settings menu, the dealer would have to reprogram it
