Looking very closely at a used CX-30 among other cars like a Rav4. Im gonna do city driving mainly and very light off-roads. I MIGHT do a bit of modifications like AT tires and skid plates.. Question is, what are the significant issues with the early CX-30 turbo models i should be looking at?

There are a few flaws with it though like the infotainment system, it can be buggy with wireless android auto or carPlay, especially in early models but then the turbo engine is strong and smooth enough and handles better than a RAV4 and still gives good enough ground clearance.

Thanks, so mainly its the stereo right?

It's pretty much the same for me. Wireless setups can be hit or miss depending on updates. But that handling's pretty good for its size. Recent software updates helped out the CarPlay glitches though so no issues for me as of now

The main thing to watch for with the early turbo models, particularly the 2021s, is a history of oil consumption.
Some owners had issues with it, and there was a TSB from Mazda about it, so check the service records for that.
Also check for history of any electronic glitches, as those were sometimes reported, though beyond that, I'm not really familiar with specific infotainment issues.
Make sure to get a pre-purchase inspection to be safe!
